104 - In this Episode Linda Mazur, Jack Mazur, and Ellen Bennett will interview Missy Stolfi. Missy is the Area Director for the Western and Greater Central New York Chapters of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She joined the Foundation in 2017 from the American Cancer Society, and prior to that served in the field of college student affairs in the Philadelphia area.
Missy holds a B.S. in History from SUNY College at Oneonta, and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration – Student Affairs from the University at Buffalo. She resides in Tonawanda, enjoys volunteering locally, rooting for the Yankees and Bills, and spending time with her niece and nephew.
According to the CDC, more than 47,500 people die by suicide each year, making it the tenth leading cause of death among adults in the United States and the second leading cause of death among individuals 10-34 years of age.
