OSR 055: World Champion Of Public Speaking Ryan Avery
Manage episode 186836990 series 1540810
In this episode of the Operation Self Reset podcast, Jake is talking with Ryan Avery, Toastmasters International World Champion Public Speaker.
Ryan first got into public speaking during a time when he was searching for something new to do with his life. While watching videos on YouTube, he came across one about a World Championship Public Speaker and he decided that was what he wanted to do.
But how does someone become the World Champion Public Speaker, and what do you do once you reach that level? Ryan worked on his own public speaking skills by creating presentations and working with Toastmasters. Once he had earned the title of World Champion, he found that he was getting asked to speak to other people about becoming better public speakers. So Ryan decided to leave his former job and move to a new city in order to start his own company to teach others to become better public speakers. Even if you’re not giving huge presentations in front of thousands of people, you can still benefit from learning better verbal communication skills to improve your life.
Listen in as Ryan gives his advice on how we all can become better public speakers and use our voices.
