Eisenstein was a professor at Ithaca College for 35 years and is now a
Distinguished Scholar and professor Emeritus. She is author of many books
including “Against Empire: Feminisms, Racism and the West” and
“Manmade Breast Cancers.”
In 1988, at age 40, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and in 2008
yet another ovarian-type cancer was found. We’ll talk about her personal
journey with cancer, a disease that has also affected many members of her
family.
