Dr. Mark Phillips began his study of Wing Chun in 1986 under Master James Sinclair. Now after twenty seven years of professional teaching, he is ranked as one of the leading instructors in the UK Wing Chun Assoc and is a registered instructor with the prestigious ‘Ving Tsun Athletic Association’ in Hong Kong as so.

I really enjoyied talking with Sifu Mark Phillips and listening to his point of view regarding Wing Chun.

We talked about using Wing Chun in challenge fights, teaching, overcoming plateaus and how each of us can contribute to the Wing Chun community.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how humble and warm he is, despite the very effective self-defense videos you can find on his YouTube channel, Fight Sicence.
