Looking for ways to prioritize your well-being as a doctor? Lifestyle medicine and stress management can help you regain control.

Lifestyle Medicine is a relatively new specialty in Medicine that focuses on using lifestyle interventions to prevent, manage, and sometimes treat diseases. It takes a holistic approach to health, recognizing that our lifestyle choices significantly impact our overall well-being.

In our first episode of 2024, we had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Robin Tiger, MD, the founder of StressFreeMD. She is board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine, certified life coach, certified yoga therapist, and a certified iRest® meditation teacher.

As a subject matter expert in stress management for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, she emphasizes the importance of recognizing and managing stress to prevent burnout. By addressing this and providing tools and strategies, she helps her clients create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

“In every situation, you are either the victim or the victor. So how do you get to be the victor? That's when you take charge of your life.” - Robyn Tiger, MD

Episode highlights:

  • Starting on a positive note - Lifestyle Medicine and the 6 key pillars of health explained
  • The impact of Lifestyle Medicine - cellular age vs. chronological age
