Welcome to the Plant-Based Canada Podcast. In this episode we are joined by Dr. Mylène Juneau.

Dr Mylène Juneau was born and raised in Montréal, Quebec and completed her honours degree in biology at Concordia University followed by medical school and a family medicine residency program at Université de Montréal. She then moved to Northern Ontario on the shores of Georgian Bay where she started working primarily in the emergency department and as a hospitalist.

Her interest for holistic health and longevity led to her certification as a lifestyle medicine practitioner from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. With the help of a strong, knowledgeable, motivated and enthusiastic team, she is co-creating a soon-to-be-launched lifestyle medicine program for the community.

Dr. Juneau faced first hand some of the challenges of implementing the core pillars of lifestyle medicine in her own life and in her practice of medicine, which included a transition towards a whole-foods, plant-based diet. The benefits and the lessons learned were well worth it, however.

When she is not sharing her enthusiasm for a whole-person care model, she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.

In this episode we discuss:

  • Lifestyle Medicine
  • Blue Lifers
  • Comprehensive Lifestyle Medicine Intervention Program (CLIP)
