Two Tells: When a Community-Based Birth Isn't Gonna Happen Here
Song: Been Listening to John Mayor's "Sob Rock" on repeat. Who do you think he wrote all those songs about?
Show your work:
- This week I added more 411 to my collaborative pelvic exams presentation, focused on the need for safety and consent so that the tissues will be optimally responsive.
- Some content was inspired by talking to Ellen Heed, some was inspired by the Spinning Babies Parent Educator training that I hosted in H-Town.
- Love Letter is going out this week, opt in here.
Planner updates:
- I’ve been using the Laurel Denise and Passion Planner, slowly migrating into the LD as I grieve all the artwork and groovy stickers that went into the Passion Planner. I’ve temporarily moved into a backpack (my sister's Vera Bradly Black quilted with cherry lining, thank you very much.)
- My sister, who is an undated planner hater, just caved and bought the mini undated planner that has just been released and will be writing them with her fancy pens, but no stickers lol
From a chat I had with Ellen Heed:
2 “tells” that a baby doesn’t want to be born in a community setting like a birth center or homebirth, that the baby would be better served born in a more medical environment.
Wrap-up:
As always, you know you best. Get your learn on from me and other teacher guides and community, and make the best decisions for you.
Hopefully Helping,
Rowan
