In this episode of the Prime Effect Podcast, we are joined by retired AFL star Lachie Henderson. Lachie retired from playing professional football in 2021. Throughout his career, he played 206 games for the Brisbane Lions, Carlton United, and Geelong Cats. It certainly wasn't a smooth ride for Lachie, as an athlete, he had to overcome more than a dozen rounds of surgery to fix injuries just to keep his career alive. He played in some great teams, with wonderful cultures, and learnt lessons that he’s forever thankful for. He also learnt some valuable lessons about himself late in his career that have set him up to transition out of the game more successfully.

This episode was brought to you by the nutrition and dietetics experts, Fuel Your Life, the wonderful team of wealth advisors at Wealth Depot, and the finance broking experts at SW Brokerage.

About your host: David Shillington is the CEO of Prime Effect and host of this podcast. As a Principal Master Instructor with Mental Health First Aid Australia, he is passionate about normalising the conversation around mental health and promoting a proactive approach to feeling and performing our best.
