Rae Specter grew up in a home where she was physically, sexually, and emotionally abused. Despite her challenging childhood, Rae has a successful career as a nurse. At the height of the COVID pandemic, Rae was working with a patient who coded. Unexpectedly, many of her own traumas surfaced when her patient died, leaving her emotionally raw, depressed, and unable to work. Rae recently began ketamine treatments and describes how in one of her sessions, the universe communicated to her that we all belong and are of value.

I'd love to hear about your psychedelic experiences, but you're welcome to call in and just say hi. You're also welcome to use a pseudonym. You'll receive an email notification once I've had a chance to listen and respond. Make sure to keep an eye on your junk mail just in case my response isn't delivered to your inbox. I'm testing this feature out for the first time and I'm not certain how many callers we'll get, so I ask for your patience as I work through the messages I've received. Thank you for listening to Psychedelic Stories. I look forward to hearing your story!
