In this episode of Raw Magic, Our host, Susan-Jane Rome, is sick with a cold and still showing up to give us an episode! She shares her energy level with us, and explains that it's ridiculous to pretend that we're always on our best game, and describes the consequences of doing so.
SJR tells us about her trip to Africa, and her experience in being there. The energy of the bush goes far beyond what words can describe, but SJR is more than willing to share a few thins she loves about the magic that is going on safari.
Africa is Raw, and she tells of a fresh lion kill she came upon during her time there, and describes the sense of “anything can happen” and “What will I see?”, rather than worry, masks and fronting. There is also a possibility that you'll confront an Aardvark in your kitchen. She tells about the role energy played in such an encounter, and how it shows you who you are in a moment of truth.
SJR draws us into a world of acceptance, and the inability to be anything but who you are when in the bush. She pulls away the shroud we hide behind in order to expose our deepest fears of inadequacy, and our resistance to all that is. She describes a world in which nothing is controlled, but instead happens all around us, and we have no say, and no way of swaying it other than to be a part of it. She tells us about her experience in Africa, and what we can learn from being stripped down to our purest energy, and left to explore a world so much bigger than ourselves.
