"Wealth surprised me. Having a lot of money doesn't look or feel like what Hollywood sells us. It can be isolating... And of course, it might be hard to imagine wealth as a challenge, but my goal is to change something at a very personal level. I want to get us talking about money. I want to move money out of the taboo category, and out of the shame category, and really help us start to have conversations."

When it comes to money, that's private. Or so the school of thought usually goes. However, today Jennifer Risher shares very openly about her experiences of coming into wealth and the surprising challenges it creates that are often never openly spoken about. Listen in for rare and authentic insights into how wealth can and does impact people's lives and relationships, and why it's important to be able to openly speak about it. This episode is a brave and inspiring interview on not just her journey of learning to become comfortable with wealth, but also the significant joy that she and her husband, David Risher, have found in using their wealth to inspire mass acts of giving on a global scale through their foundation #HalfmyDAF.

Key Takeaway:

Money matters impact everyone's lives. Whether riches or poverty, there are challenges that are created and opportunities for impact missed when people won't communicate. While wealth can be powerful, it shouldn't be held in such a regard to supersede the value of what matters most - relationships. Talking about the elephant in the room can not only ease tensions within a relationship, but also inspire giving and impactful collaboration. Talk about it.
