Ty West hit it out of the park with X, and surprised us all with the near-immediate release of it’s prequel Pearl.

Set in 1918, Pearl follows the younger self of our former protagonist as she lives on a farm and dreams of a life bigger than what she has. However, nothing wants to go the way she wants it to. Her husband immediately left her to go fight in the war, her mother hates everything she does, and her father (and only friend) is in no condition to comfort her. But, everything changes when her sister-in-law visits with the news of a huge opportunity at stardom. Now, Pearl will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

The movie brings back Mia Goth in the title role and features a brand new cast of characters to get axed off one by one.
