Welcome to today's episode where we will be discussing the topic of inspiring your team. As a leader, one of your most important responsibilities is to inspire and motivate your team to achieve their full potential. But how do you do that effectively?

In this episode, Eric shares the story of his experience training sales leaders and 3 things you should do as a leader to inspire your team. Whether you're a new manager or have been leading a team for years, there are always ways to improve your leadership skills.

Eric shares the realization of how leaders don't know why their people come to work when an audience asks him how to motivate a team of people who are so set in their ways, which leads us to the first thing you need to do which is know why they come to work.

As leaders, you have to understand the reason behind why your people come to work and what they want to accomplish, have the conversations discussing their future plans because that's what's going to inspire them. Help guide them towards their goals.

The second thing you need to do is to show them, not tell them. If you want your team to do what you want, do what you expect them to do first. Having your leader be with you and helping you accomplish things helps your team feel motivated to do what they need to. You have to set an example of what you want to see from your team.

Lastly, have effective one-on-ones, something that is really crucial. Have one-on-ones not to discuss spreadsheets and numbers but to coach them and help them feel more committed. Allow them to discuss and find answers themselves by helping them through the process.

If you want to know more details on how to inspire your team as a leader, tune in for this episode.
