When it comes to strength training, there are many training variables: sets, reps, exercise selection and rep tempo among other things. So today, I want to share with you how you can use rep tempo to the benefit of your current training. What is a rep tempo A rep tempo can be defined as the rate or pace at which an exercise is performed. It usually a 3 or 4 digits code you will find next to your exercise in a program. It could look like this: 4-1-3-0.
