#90: As the Member Relations Specialist, Dina Gonsalves-Perez is the first face folks see when they walk through the doors at The Phoenix in Boston. After spending much of her adult life battling substance use disorder, Dina is a proud person in recovery. And although she still has bad days, life is good, because she has no reason to use.
Tune into the episode to hear Dina's story, including:

  • Her message to others: all the the things you did out there, those are just things you did, that is not who you are.
  • The bottom line, and how Dina's kids and her family kept her alive.
  • How sometimes focusing on one hour at a time is too much, and we need to break it down into seconds and minutes.
  • The reason why after every paycheck, Dina buys herself a small trinket.
