There is a common misconception that healing your past thru self-expression is more for women than men. Or public speaking is gender-specific. This is a myth.

Men have lots of emotions- and can heal their lives, but their social programming teaches them not to acknowledge or process them.

When you process your emotions, you unlock life-changing results, no matter your gender. When you use expressive arts, you can become a more confident public speaker and person, and own your power no matter who you are.

To discuss this very important topic, I’ve invited male coach and friend Dr. H. "Herukhuti" Sharif Williams, PhD, onto the show to talk about his growth as a public speaker and author, and how healing his past transformed his future- as he unveils his first collection of poetry.

And we talk about everything- even how we met.

From processing trauma from our parents to the ways that creative arts are great even for the closet creative- when you support your commitment to shine in your gifts.

This week, hear how not processing your emotions is hurting you and the results you want to create, to be a more confident leader and speaker in your circles- to rise. We even get a special treat, of a personal reading from his book of poetry:
Race. Resistance. Love.
He shares how important it is to acknowledge and process your emotions, why doing so doesn’t make you any less manly on the other side of facilitating a retreat empowering black men, and advice to all listening who are ready to face the challenge and discomfort of feeling your feelings, to heal, and discover a voice that becomes unstoppable.

WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER
  • Some signs that you’re not processing your emotions, and how your voice will suffer.
  • Tips on creative ways to stand up and stand out- with confidence
  • How to process triggers- even if you do not call yourself a creative
  • Why emotions are not the problem, but the actions you take from them may be.
  • How to shine, and use your past to propel your future!
