Webster’s Dictionary defines “creature” as… nah, we’re not doing that. What we are doing is the first ever Week of the Creature (Feature), an Octoberama theme selected by our Patreon patrons! We picked two movies featuring some iconic creatures, namely Feast II: Sloppy Seconds , featuring a fast monster with giant sharp teeth, and the opposite of that in the 1988 remake of The Blob , about a big… blob… thing. We also examine a Real World Horror story, wherein the clowns are back. A creepy clown has been doing… something that apparently a bunch of Scottish pearl clutchers are not finding the fun in. For Horror Business, we reveal who won the television rights to the Halloween franchise and discuss what the future holds, as well as an update on Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein , a zombie comic adaptation from the makers of Turbo Kid , and a new film packed with horror icons. We then take a look at the creator of The Purge ‘s latest film, featuring an unlikely actor. A dark and stormy night. A cold and empty graveyard. One tombstone peeks above the rest, the stone cracked and worn. Suddenly, a hand bursts through the sod. The flesh peels away and the bone underneath shines in the moonlight. Lightning cracks across the sky. It must be Week of the Zombie on The Grave Plot Podcast! We call this a “Fun Size” episode but we big leagued you instead by giving you a little extra something, like a razor blade in a candy apple! That sweet treat comes in the form of an interview with Langley West, the co-founder of the Bleedingham Film Festival . We discuss the past, present, and future of the horror genre, as well as the perks and perils of running a film festival. We then dig up the rotting corpses of two undead film reviews. Up first is the 2019 horror comedy Little Monsters , featuring Lupita Nyongo and Josh Gad but NOT Ted McGinley. We then travel back in time to discuss the classicly campy film Night of the Creeps , about slugs from outer space that turn humans into brain dead zombies! Thrill me! * Editing note: When Langley mentioned Oliver Stone, he actually meant Oliver Reed*…

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. Octoberama is over (sad face) but The Grave Plot Express cannot be stopped! We're pulling away from the station and making periodic stops before our final destination. All aboard! First stop, Real World Horror. Those exiting here will find a story about a creepy clown doll that its owner just couldn't handle and decided to burden their neighbor with. Next stop, Horror Business. Here you will find yet another remake of Night of the Living Dead, an update on the film adaptation of the novel Clown in a Cornfield, and a story about the video game Dead by Daylight being turned into a comic book series. There is also news on the film Natty Knocks, featuring a who's who of horror actors, and finally a return to the big screen for a prominent actress. Finally, we roll into the last stop that is our film reviews. Up first is the new exorcism film Prey for the Devil, featuring the world's first ever female exorcist, as well as the 2022 re-adaptation of the book "The Hellbound Heart," better known as Hellraiser, featuring the world's first ever female Pinhead. I'm sure this will all go smoothly. We've been referred to as a "train wreck" before but I'm pretty sure that's just a turn of phrase... right?…

Today we've got none of that horror business to get in the way of a very delicious treat. So strap on those vacuum form masks and hike up those vinyl one piece costumes (80s kids will understand) because it's time to trick-or-treat with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!…

Fillet of a fenny snake, In the cauldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting, Lizard’s leg and owlet’s wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. Put the lime in the coconut and mix it all up. What do you get? Well you get Week of the Witch! Octoberama continues with the first ever witchy week, as chosen by our Grave Diggers on Patreon. Before we get to all that, though, we've got to take care of Horror Business. Starting off in Real World Horror, we discuss a pair of women who saw an eerie glowing specter of Shia LeBeouf in a church. We then talk about multiple small screen adaptations of big screen films, namely Godzilla, Fear, Goosebumps, and The Wicker Man. We then wrap up with a Halloween update to the video game Back 4 Blood. For our witchy reviews, we first look at Sam Raimi's 2009 return to horror Drag Me to Hell. We tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly. We then examine the new film Two Witches, about... two witches. Obviously. So hop on your broomstick and hit the skies with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!…

Batten down the hatches, bar the doors and windows, and sharpen your blades. Octoberama has risen from the grave for Week of the Zombie! We don't even bother with Horror Business because we did that last week and we're very tired, but in order to survive we have to talk about the films Office Uprising and the sequel to the Australian undead movie Wyrmwood, titled Wrymwood: Apocalypse. So make sure you've got plenty of shells and inject a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast directly into your BRAAAAAIIIIINS.…

It's that time again. The time of year when leaves turn brown, the air gets crisp (well, usually), and pumpkin spice is in everything. That's right, it's time for Octoberama 2022! We kick things off with Real World Horror, where we discuss who will prevail in the inevitable battle between Jeff Bezos's mech suit and Elon Musk's new robot army. Then, in Horror Business, we wonder if the talk of Trick 'r Treat 2 is real this time or if we're bound to be burned again. We also examine Tom Holland's new novelization of Fright Night... f'real, as well as reboots of Magic, Nosferatu, and The Crow. There are some big names attached to these and one of them is apparently already done shooting? Listen to find out all the details. For our film reviews, it is of course Week of the Vampire! We've got two very different films tonally, but both featuring bloodsuckers. Up first is the dramatic Byzantium, including a clandestine vampire organization tracking down a mother and daughter who could upend their entire master plan. Up next is the much more comedic The Night Watchmen, about four... night watchmen, attempting to do their duty as minimum wage security guards by protecting their coworkers from a gang of undead clowns. So put on your cape, comb your widow's peak, and rise from your tomb to listen to a bloody new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast! Blah blah-blah!…

Finally you will find a fried remake to The Strangers, as well as a lead in to our main course. That main course, of course, is the film reviews. We start out with Chef Scott Derrickson's take on a classic recipe by Joe Hill, The Blackened Phone - I mean, The Black Phone. We follow that with a playful little dish known as Pearl, which is part of Chef Ti West's X menu. We hope you enjoy your meal. There's no dessert.…
