The day is Friday, October 13th 2023. "Season of Spoop" covering urban legend themed films continues with Aaron and Derek tackling 1980's slasher classic "Friday the 13th" directed by Sean S. Cunningham and written by Victor Miller. They discuss how this further propelled the trope heavy modern slasher, how it compares to other slasher franchises and its own sequels, and what made this an independent release. They also get into Betsy Palmer's involvement, the severe critical derision it received, what makes this such an easy to watch horror flick, and many other aspects about the movie and franchise. Derek is going up to Camp Blood. Aaron is doomed!
