Raquel decides to check back in with the film after 30 years because of the political demonstrations of The Summer of 2020. Raquel finds herself drawn to the humanity of the characters & the parallels to WEST SIDE STORY. Raphael drops some mad science about Public Enemy & explains some N.Y. slang. Who is actually trying to do the right thing? Sal? Mookie? What does it even mean to “do the right thing?” Lots of talk about race, anger, & how America deals with the two. A long one, but a good one!
