Mary Potter Kenyon was a 52-year old stay-at-home mom with 4 of her 8 children still at home when her husband of 30+ years unexpectedly passed away, just 17 months after her mother passed away. While navigating through her grief, she learned that one of her grandsons had cancer. Mary developed a number of strategies for coping with extreme loss, and in the process started writing books (available here) and hosting support groups to help others with their losses. Even if you haven't experienced tragic loss, her techniques will help anyone going through a challenging life experience.
