What are some of the most common unseen caregiver wounds, and how to understand PTSC?

In this episode of Eldercare Success, I shed light on a less discussed but critically important topic: Post-Traumatic Stress for Caregivers (PTSC). While the conversation around PTSD become pretty much mainstream, PTSC remains in the shadows, often overlooked, even by family and those of us experiencing it.

If you're caring for an aging parent, family member, or loved one, this is an episode you'll want to turn into and even refer back to over time.

In this show, I explore the subtle signs of PTSC, many of which we too often dismiss or don't understand, or see that this could be happening to you too. There are also a number of simple, yet practical tips to help you start to dig out of this situation yourself. Or better yet, recognize if you're falling into this trap so you don't go further down the caregiver rabbit hole.

Episode highlights:

  • What is PTSC?
  • How to recognize emotional traps
  • The unspoken impact of PTSC
  • Tips to dig out

Join me in breaking the silence around Post-Traumatic Stress for Caregivers. Whether you're experiencing symptoms of PTSC, know someone who is, or work in caregiving or mental health, this episode is a must-listen.
