We’re docking the ship Thursday 4/25/24 8 pm est. to talk to Quintin Dorsey (@k_o_abyss) about his anime Knights of Abyss Since I was young, I’ve always had a passion for anime. But, throughout the years, I noticed that all the stories I enjoyed and grew to love needed more diversity. And when a diverse character appeared, it almost always was in a stereotypical format

Black Anime is essential because it contributes to the diversification and inclusivity of the anime medium, allowing for authentic representation and relatable storytelling for Black audiences. By featuring characters, themes, and narratives that reflect the Black experience, Black Anime provides a platform for individuals to see themselves reflected in a genre that has historically lacked diversity. This representation fosters a sense of belonging and pride and helps break down stereotypes and challenge cultural biases. Additionally, Black Anime opens doors for cross-cultural understanding. #blerdseyeview #blerd #blerds #animelover #comicbooknerd #entertainment #entertainmentnews
