Rachel and Clare continue their discussions about orgasms and focus on G-spot orgasms to highlight Rachel’s recent romantic evening with her husband. Clare invites you to view orgasm and pleasure in the same way we enjoy tasting a variety of food prepared using different cooking methods. The theme of learning to relax and surrender your body and mind is the common denominator for experiencing epic orgasms.

Highlights:

Rachel experienced a wonderful G-spot orgasm after she had a clitoral orgasm and remembered Clare’s question from weeks ago, “What would happen if you didn’t stop?” So this time she didn’t stop after her first orgasm and it made a huge difference.

The second orgasm felt incredible, yet different because it wasn't familiar and new things can feel scary or unsafe. After the G-spot orgasm, she could feel herself begin to tense up against the building of a strong sensation. She told herself out loud to “relax and let go” and then she cried AND it felt really good.

Clare mentions that crying is common after an intense orgasm, which is a release for your body to let go of other stress or trauma that is stored in the tissues (see reference below regarding author of the book: The Body Keeps The Score). She also asks how Rachel would describe her experience and Rachel uses the word Transcendent as she completely surrenders her body to herself and to her husband Steve.

Before Clare learned to have multiple orgasms, she would roll into a ball, like a roly-poly bug thinking she could keep the good feeling inside of her body longer. Her lover suggested that she try relaxing her body to let the good feeling travel through her. That suggestion helped Clare learn to have multiple and more intense orgasms.

Rachel mentions that it took time for her to experience her first orgasm for a couple of reasons. She and her husband were virgins when they got married and their religious sex education didn’t include education about orgasms. Even after her husband’s dedication to Rachel experiencing an orgasm, which involved books and a visit to the sex shop for toys, she realized she was clenching against the feeling of surrender. She learned to have her orgasm when she relaxed.

How you approach sex can be similar to how you approach life. Can you surrender to the flow of life or are you someone who is trying to control it. Rachel suggests a mantra for the listeners: “Surrender and it will be awesome”. She added that it’s also ok not to chase the orgasm as the one goal for pleasure. Instead, just enjoy all the experiences as they happen. Clare suggests slowing down and breathing together as a way to connect and get out of your head and into your body. Clare likes the yab yum position used in Tantra for slowing down (see link below for example of the Yab yum position).

Clare talked about first having a meditation with her body with one hand over her heart and one hand resting on her vulva for ten minutes. Then she would ask permission from her body regarding penetration. Many women have never been taught to ask their own bodies regarding consent. Rachel’s mind was blown by this concept.

This episode shows how both Clare and Rachel are leaning into new ways to experience pleasure.
