Mike Bodie: The one with the Golden Game Advice!
Manage episode 464093034 series 3441477
In episode 106 of “How Do You Say That?!” sponsored by britishvoiceover.co.uk, Mike Bodie joins Sam and Mark to talk about how you can judge the age of a character through the pitch of the voice, the secrets you need to know for gaming auditions, and why an American accent with a British sentiment doesn't always work for casting directors.
Our VO question this week is all about the tools an actor uses on stage that are also useful in the voiceover booth.
Get involved! Have you got a Wildcard suggestion that we should try or an idea for the show? Send it to us via Mark or Sam's social media or email it directly to podcast@britishvoiceover.co.uk
Script 1
Complex ideas.
Endlessly fascinating.
Tricky to understand.
That’s why companies like ours make bite-size, easy to follow videos (like this one) - packed with information, facts and examples that bring complicated ideas to life.
For audiences everywhere - from pre-schoolers and students to work-forces and curious minds across the world.
Script 2
1.You bloody greenhorns. I am an old man, an old Man-At-Arms, and I have seen more skimishes and battles than most of you have years. Nothing is more terrible upon this earth - and nothing more glorious.
2. You've got a heart of gold. Don't let these folk take it from you.
3. Enough! We're done here! Now, you will meet your maker!
4. My Lord. This blade of mine is yours. And this heart as well, that never belonged to anyone else.
5. There are spirits everywhere. Ghosts really. We carry them with us wherever we go.
