Most of the time leaders who are coaching only think that they are coaching, so what do you really need to know to make you a great coach?

As Jonathan says: "A lot of people confuse coaching with counselling, or consulting, or feedback sessions as they’ve never actually experienced a good coach.

In sales what I’ve found is that most managers are unconsciously competent, and speak from a level that their sales person doesn’t get, or use their ‘coaching sessions’ to be corrective, rather than coach."
