Shannon recently married Aaron...to his wife. It's not confusing, if you think about it.

In celebration of Aaron's happy nuptials, this week the discussion is on Wedding Movies, a largely unfortunate subgenre of the romantic comedy. Shannon and Aaron discuss the genre's all-too-common failings, as well as its roots in so-called "Women's Pictures," before trying to think of good counterexamples of wedding movies done right.

Also, Aaron really, really hates Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and isn't terribly fond of the work of Katherine Heigl either.

Films discussed:

  • Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
  • My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)
  • My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
  • The Birdcage (1996)

From the Internet: Jessica Jones on Netflix

Intro music: I Feel It All Around Me by Wet Wet Wet

Outro music: Tour of the Kingdom from The Little Mermaid Original Soundtrack
