When Catherine formed the NZ Prostitute's Collective (now the Sex Worker's Collective) with her co-workers back in 1987, she never dreamed that would one day lead to a nod from the crown and a Dame-hood. But her advocacy for the rights, health and dignity of those in the world's oldest profession did just that and Penny was excited to chat to a woman who led the charge of the decriminalising of sex work in NZ. This law change in 2003 inspired Penny's cabaret show Hot Pink Bits and she fangirled over the internet to Catherine in Wellington. Her menopause was on the easier end of the spectrum, and she talked to Penny about oestrogen inspired saucy dreams, the importance of lubrication in sex work, and how she's not stringing the hammock up just yet.
