Fifth Generation Kiwi, Jenny Agnew, welcomed fellow 5th Generation Kiwi Penny into her home to chat all about what it is to be a Chinese New Zealander. A descendant of Choie Sew Hoy who moved to NZ in 1869, Jenny was recently awarded a Queen's Service Medal along with her husband Trevor, for their research into her ancestor. She talked to Penny about her menopause, about arriving at school without knowing a word of English, her pride in her four daughters and about the excretions of menopausal Italian Nuns. As you do. #smashthepatriarchy
She is also the "sister-in-love" of my first ever Showy Ovaries guest, Pinky Agnew.

Special thanks to Jenny for trusting Penny to talk about such personal matters for the first time.
