What be these strange apes, we? Before the world of humans dies, how best we to optimize?
We get into a whole thing here, man. In trying to figure out how best to be people, we reminisce about our favorite brograms and workout broutines. There’s no owner’s manual on the human body—at least, as far as I can tell—but as long as we’re still 1.0 people, let’s pool our knowledge and try to get the most out of the meat monsters that are us.
Notes
- About a decade ago, this weirdo Goldentusk started making these videos where he sang lyrics over iconic instrumental movie themes, like Superman, Back to the Future, and Halloween. Good for a lol.
- “Japanese white-collar workers are already being replaced by artificial intelligence”
- “Tesla autopilot brakes before accident happens”
- What are the best primers for the singularity? Calum Chace’s Surviving AI, and the short video Humans Need Not Apply, came to my mind. If you have other recommendations, please send them our way.
- The Bear Barbell Complex, for curious strength-heads.
- A guided body scan meditation, for curious head-heads.
- And for a record-breaking third week in a row, ladies and gentlemen, Uncle Andy.
- Want to be more productive? Freakonomics got you. Related: Josh Waitzkin’s book The Art of Learning, and Josh on The Tim Ferriss Show.
- Think you’re too old to take up a musical hobby? Read Guitar Zero and be convinced otherwise. Or just try the hobby. Hobbies are fun.
