In the second installment of In Pursuit of Purpose, we connect with Dr. Lisa Orbe-Austin. Lisa grew up as an overachiever, but for years, she was weighed down by her imposter’s syndrome, a feeling that she didn’t belong in certain rooms and would inevitably be “found out.” Now, as a licensed psychologist and executive coach, Lisa works with her clients on imposter’s syndrome, as well as career advancement and leadership development

Lisa helps us tackle the age-old question of whether “purpose” and “profession” are synonymous, while providing us with tools to become more satisfied in our personal and professional lives.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • The moment that Lisa finally decided “enough is enough” and set out to build her own practice
  • Lisa’s perspective on profession being tied to purpose
  • How to overcome imposter’s syndrome and step into your greatness
  • The specific ways imposter’s syndrome may impact marginalized people
