Want to be the change you wish to see? Then look no further than my next S.O.S. Guest Marc Abraham.
Marc has literally written the book on effective campaigns and was an instrumental part of the law in the UK that banned the sale of pets in storefronts.
He uses his experiences as a veterinarian, in marketing/persuasion and community organizing to promote countless animal causes. Some work includes events that promote the human-animal bond and shine a spotlight on animal cruelty.
He is a celebrity in the UK as it pertains to animal welfare, affectionately known to do many as “Marc the Vet.”
I’m pinching myself at the idea I’m going to interview him! This is what I love about podcasting, this art that brings people such as Marc to you.
Marc uses his extensive knowledge of marketing and PR, and then channels these skills into activism. His father was a well-known marketing executive, which influenced him greatly in his work today.
His book “Be More Mosquito” is a must-have for anyone who wants to start a movement in any arena, not just animals.
Dr Marc Abraham OBE is a multi-award-winning practicing vet, author, and animal welfare campaigner.
Based in Brighton, England, Marc is most well known for successfully leading the #LucysLaw campaign in UK Parliament to ban commercial third-party puppy and kitten dealers, such as pet shops.
Marc is the secretariat and co-founder of the All-Party Parliamentary Dog Advisory Welfare Group (APDAWG), visits local schools chatting to pupils about caring for animals and looking out for one another, plus enjoys walking on the South Downs and supporting Brighton and Hove Albion.
In 2022, Marc was awarded the OBE for Services to Animal Welfare by His Majesty Charles III.
