Tanima Ferdous shares her story about leaving her country coming to the US and the arduous process of becoming a doctor here. After completing her medical education in Bangladesh she refused to give up her dream of becoming a skilled practicing physician in the United States despite a lack of encouragement from her colleagues and teachers.
Also how she found Dr. Gayle Randall who agreed to have her come and train with her. Dr. Randall encouraged her and taught her things she could not learn in standard medical training. Such as compassion and listening to what all the patients had to say. A wonderful touching podcast about Tanima’s journey as a training doctor and the relationship between these two women who both fought fiercely for their goals to serve others.
