One of us thought this week’s film was set in the 90’s (it’s set in the 60’s and 70’s), one of us thought it was Point Break (it’s not Point Break), one of us just wanted to see some Chris Tucker (yeah, he’s in it). One out of three ain’t bad, I guess. Dead Presidents caught us all a bit by surprise in some way. A portrayal of Black American disillusionment in society after the Vietnam War which is also a heist movie. And a war movie. But not really. Has it bitten off more than it can chew?
