There really is no way to describe John Waters's work other than queer, which is why Pink Flamingos (1972) had to be our third Pride Month pick. An indie made on a shoe-string budget and starring drag icon Divine as the "filthiest person alive," this flick truly pushes the envelope, and it doesn't matter if we're talking poop, penises, or poultry. Like Degrassi, it goes there — which is why we enlisted a little extra help to cover it. On our latest episode of Spooky Tuesday, we're joined by John Waters fan and filmmaker Paul Jacob Presley as we break down this creepy, crass camp classic.
