Quote of the Day

“Your income right now is a result of your standards. It is not the industry & it is not the economy.” –Tony Robbins

If you have the standards of driving a Bentley then your income will always reflect that, and the same goes for a Toyota Camry. You set the standards of your life, so be ready for the repercussions of them all.

Topic of the Day

The Number 60

Isaiah Thomas was the last pick in the 2011 NBA Draft and is now an All Star on the Number One Seed in the Eastern Conference. The average player in the NBA is 6 foot 7 inches, and Isaiah Thomas is 5 foot 9 inches, but he didn’t let that stop him.

The last pick in the NBA Draft is the 6oth Pick. Isaiah is known as Mr. 4th Quarter because he averages the most 4th quarter point in the Eastern Conference.

He was also traded 2 times and spent some time in the D League until settling in Boston as the starting point guard. In the recording, there were a few things that stood out to me. Below are the things he said that stood out to me:

-“I just wanted to show people I could play.”

-“60th pick was just a number. Every year I had to fight that battle of I’m better than this guy, and I’m going to show you.”

-“Best 4th quarter player in the Eastern Conference.”

-“I’ve always dreamed of being that guy & being in that moment. In the summertime when I’m in the gym by myself at 6 in the morning or at 10 o clock at night, that’s what I’m working for. To take advantage of these moments.”

-“The things I’m doing right now and the things this team is doing I’ve always expected that out of myself and out of my teammates so it’s not a surprise to me, it’s a surprise to everybody else. “
