Episode Summary
1) Shemika didn't even consider college. She thought it was out of reach even though she went to a gifted and talented high school.
2) She deferred and became a braider. She did that and worked throughout her college career. It took her 4 years to find a job in her field. Stay persistent.
3) She wants you to know that it is okay to step outside of your comfort zone and do something different. Stretch yourself. You will thank yourself later.
