Creating an inclusive workspace isn’t just about having a DEI committee and making sure that your employees are a certain percentage white, brown, black, neurodivergent, chronically ill, etc. We aren’t trying to create a rainbow for the sake of having a rainbow or to fill a quota. The purpose of these initiatives is to bring more ideas into the workplace and create better solutions for people, make work easier because of a chorus of voices with multiple viewpoints.
Unmute yourself! Speak up and stand out and get your seat at the table! By Nancy Medoff has to be one of the best blueprints for professionals that I’ve ever read to help voices that have trouble being heard due to systemic issues or unconscious biases, or their own lack of confidence. Regardless of WHY you don’t speak up – this book can help you overcome those challenges and grab your seat at the table.
In today’s podcast, we’re going to:

1. Do a deep dive into a TACTIC for not shoulding all over yourself
2. Cover steps for building an infrastructure of confidence
3. Discuss why the Unmute yourself book is so important
