Fatima- The prescription is in the dirt In this episode we interview Fatima Oliver who is a singer, performer, Author and mother of 4 boys. Fatima is a powerful leader who has endured a life of many trials and challenges. She shares her story of how she overcame a life full of abuse by focusing on herself. This episode is very raw as Fatima is very vulnerable as shares her experiences conquer the abuse she endured. Abuse is never ok. Fatima had to learn a new way of being loved. The abuse she endured blocked her from knowing and felling what love really looks like. Fatima share a story about not knowing what love was supposed to feel like until her now husband . He treats her like a queen which is something she said she never experienced before that. There is no shame in seeking help. Fatima found herself feeling stuck and looking for answers. Fatima shares one of the major turning points in her life was when she reached out to a medical professional to address her depression and anxiety that she was just baring.. Through Fatima's story and example we learn how she replaced the negative in her life by working on herself. The tools she used to become the amazing woman she is today include Faith, humility, self belief and a community of positive support. Reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness it is actually a sign of strength. Fatima broke the abuse cycle and so can you.
