Who ya gonna call? Well in this case The Monster Squad! That's right folks it's the 1987 film directed by Fred Deckker, written by (Shane) Black and Deckker. Continuing on with our month long Brotober series Wade selected this 80's cult classic as his pick of the week and man was it a nostalgia filled romp getting to revisit it.

In the film a group of unlikely kids are the only thing standing in the way of Dracula and his gang of monsters (including Frankenstein or Frankenstein's monster if you're a purist dickhole, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and Gil-Man) from taking over the world using a magical amulet that has the power to turn the tide of good vs. evil. It's only up to them to discover Draculas evil plot and stop him from destroying all life as we know it.

The movie is classic 80's fantasy and definitely hasn't aged as well as some of it's same time period contemporaries, but if you enjoy a decent and entertaining stroll down memory lane then definitely check this one out, especially if you're a fan of Universal's classic monsters and you've never seen it before.

So get ready and grab your wooden stakes and do your best Van Helsing impersonation and send those monsters back to where they came from and join the crew in The Monster Squad!
