*Trigger warning* We talk about disordered eating and body image issues in this episode. Please seek professional help if you are struggling with an eating disorder.

In today's episode we sat down with one of our besties, Marlie Goddard!

Marlie is a positive spirit and energizer bunny! She is a professional dancer and fitness instructor from Toronto, with a background in business and marketing.

In this episode she speaks about body image, disordered eating and amenorrhea and how those things have affected Marlie's life. She speaks on how she has persevered and coped with these issues. We hope this episode can help some people out there who may be experiencing this kinds of issues. ♥️

Marlie’s biggest passion is dance and she has been training in many styles (hiphop, jazz, jazz funk, heels, tap, ballet, and more) since age 12, including international training experiences in LA, New York, and Brazil! 💃Some career highlights so far have been dancing for two seasons as a Toronto Argonauts Cheerleader, performing at the Grey Cup, backup dancing for Karl Wolf, and appearing on CBC’s Canada’s A Drag as a backup dancer for Tynomi Banks. Her career is just getting started and she aims to be a backup dancer for major recording artists.👯🎤 Marlie is also hugely passionate about fitness and health, and is a personal trainer and instructor at Fit Factory Fitness (@fitfactoryto) in Toronto. 💪Her fitness philosophy is that you must exercise to FEEL good, not to look a certain way. Only then will it become a lasting part of your lifestyle, thus bringing those mental and physical results we all of course want! ✨

We also touch on:

- Career jump from 9-5 to full time dance and fitness professional

- How her business degree positively affects her dance career

- Calorie counting since the age of 12

- Importance of talking about disordered eating, especially with women

- The importance of learning about nutrition

- Resources and tips from marlie what she used to help her with disordered eating and amenorrhea

- How dance and fitness has had a positive impact on her body image

- Tips for artists during quarantine

- And more!
