A is for Adderall is a gripping profile of a young man’s battle with his ADD diagnosis and his life on Adderall. Currently in the United States, 6.4 million kids have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD, which has resulted in countless Adderall prescriptions. Like drinking a gigantic cocktails of amphetamines—other popular street amphetamines include methamphetamine, speed, and ecstasy--Adderall is listed as a tier 2 drug for abuse by the FDA. While the United States is one of only two countries in the world that legally condones the prescription use of Adderall, the American youth are the ones that are at risk. This film looks at a young man’s struggle to find himself. Will a bottle of pills be his solution, or will he fight back? Produced by Maggie Smith
