His journey with substance abuse began in his early 20s with Oxycontin and culminated with methamphetamine in his early 30s. Drawing from his personal experiences and his work with queer individuals globally who struggle with substances, Andrew has developed a unique approach to healing. He adopts a non-12 step method that emphasizes compassion, trauma healing, and somatic practices. Andrew believes that substance abuse enters our lives to impart valuable lessons, and by cultivating self-compassion, acceptance, and understanding, individuals can navigate through challenges and evolve into their highest selves.
