Tom is a knowledgeable guy who applies his physiotherapy knowledge alongside actual practical experience he has had over the years in both powerlifting as well as BJJ. We talk about how he dislocated is ankle and how he returned to full exercise after that. he takes me through understanding pain science and being able to distinguish between good pain and bad pain during training using his traffic light system. we talk about doctors who tell you to stop training when you feel pain or sustained an injury and whether this is good advice. the outlines some of the things you should be looking for when seeking out a physiotherapist (hint: if you are just getting a massage or some dry needling and being sent on your way you are being robbed).
