It’s crazy how material works in some places and not others - just ask stand-up comic Ralph Anthony. In his interview with Art of Bombing’s host Dan Bublitz Jr, he recalls his most influential quote from George Carlin:
“If it works on Thursday and it works on Friday but not on Saturday: it’s the crowd.” What that means to Anthony is: that you can’t be too hard on yourself.
Ralph tells us that you have to give yourself some time, space, and grace if you want to be successful at any performance art.
In this episode, you’ll learn the goal of a corporate gig, the balance of material and crowd work, and how every great comic has a system. Ralph Anthony digs deep with Dan on this one to show him EXACTLY how his system works. Give the episode a listen and you may learn how to take your game to the next level. Plus more!
