Welcome to Season 2; Episode 6! This week we are speaking with FIT Muscle & Joint Clinic's Dr. Michael Allison. Also, we with us today Lifetime Fitness Lenexa's Coach Josh Hilger about Training while Injured (Listen Here!) Most of us have been injured at one time or another during our fitness adventures. Once it happens, we are faced with a decision “Run some dirt on it” and train through the or around the injury. For some, it may cause some anxiety around the thought of a possible surgery without even getting checked out by a Doctor or professional. The interesting thing is depending on the type of “hurt” you are experiencing one of those options might be the right one. However, you won’t know for sure unless you get the advice of a licensed professional. If the injury is something like a slipped or herniated disc and it is pressing on a nerve, without getting it looked at you could develop a much more serious issue like drop foot and more. I will let our guests this week tell you all about it. So to get locked in and tune in with us as both Dr. Michael and Josh and break it all down for us! Additional Show Notes: If you guys have takeaways, you would like to share, feel free to hit us up on our social media, the details are in the show notes.
