Hello ladies, and Welcome to Episode 9 of The Career Woman’s Secret Playbook Podcast! I’m your host, Dr. Dawn, CEO/Founder of Dr. Dawn ShopTalk and in Today’s episode, I’m going to be giving you the insider-secrets of how Millionaires us their time differently from the rest of us! I'm going to share just 5 tips with you and I challenge you to do this: put at least one of these in place this week and see if you notice a difference in your day. We will start with one of my personal favorites, being a bookworm.
1) Be a Bookworm : The average American reads 2 hours per week, compared to 5 1/2 hours per week for today’s millionaires. Why do top CEOs think this is so important? Because reading can put you ahead of the curve, especially if, in addition to your favorite novels, you’re taking the time to keep up to date with your industry.
2) It’s More Than a Workout : We all know that exercise is good for you, but top CEOs know that the benefits of exercising include a LOT more than a slimmer waistline. That’s why they spend six hours a week exercising, when the national average is only two hours.
3) Spend Less Time on Social Media: Don’t give up social media altogether—it IS important to your businesses. However, the average person is spending 14 hours a week on social media vs. the 5 1/2 hours a week spent by entrepreneurs,
4) Engage in “Active” Leisure Time: Compared to the “average Joe,” leisure time is much more active for millionaires and involves everything from sporting events to charity work to church activities and/or volunteering for causes they believe in, rather than too many hours in front of the TV.
5) Consider Working for 50 More Minutes a Day : Did you know that millionaires are usually only working 50 minutes more per day than most of us? That is one of the reasons that the country’s wealthiest people seem to get more done in their day—they have literally created more time for themselves. And over twelve months, one more hour a day will equal 9.1 more weeks of time for yourself!
That's it ladies! And don't forget - if you're not having a fantastic day, YOU have the power to make it one!
