Jaime Escalante transformed the lives of thousands of students in East Los Angeles. His passion for education, unique teaching style and belief that his students could excel resulted in more students passing the AP Calculus test than any one thought possible.
It's a great film and it led to an incredible conversation about education, privilege, Hollywood, and the world Hispanic Americans.
