Katy Bowman is biomechanist, author and instructor who has focused her studies and teaching on the everyday movement patterns of human beings. Katy blends a scientific approach with straight talk solutions to healthy living via everyday lifestyle choices, rather than making personal health care something that happens on a schedule in isolated situations. In this podcast we get a genneral overview of her studies and and the body of her public work including her books and her teaching outlet "Movement Matters". We discuss the issues that arise from a sedentary lifestyle and from overtraining in the gym without thinking about our daily movements in all situations. Katy also touches on our genetic evolution and why our regular movement is so important to well being.
