On this week's episode, Jamie and Guy talk about differentiation. This topic came up after reading an article in Psychology Today titled Feeling Fed Up, Resentful? Maybe You’re Differentiating by Robert Taibbi L.C.S.W. In this article, differentiation is defined as the active, ongoing process of defining self. It involves separating from those close to us and focusing more on our needs. It can happen at various points in our life - as a toddler trying to do things on our own, to a teenager trying to differentiate or separate from our parents, and to an adult when we don't feel content in a job or a relationship, etc. Some of the common characteristics of differentiation are: feeling angry, resentful, irritable, feeling incomplete, and questioning past decisions. Listen as Jamie and Guy discuss times in their life they have felt this and how they have moved through it.
