In his commercial photography career, David photographed The Eagles’ Hotel California album cover, the Blues Brothers’ album covers and movie poster, and The Terminator movie poster.
Some of the artists for whom he photographed album covers are Aretha Franklin, Linda Rondstadt, James Taylor, James Brown, Bonnie Raitt, Ringo Starr, Tina Turner, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doobie Brothers, The Steve Miller Band, and The Allman Brothers.
